Yes ‘Singham’ has nothing new to offer other than being a heavy baggage of standard Bollywood formulaic action fare that depicts the battle between the hero and villain.

From the start to finish, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham’ can be best described as a sprawling action drama. Ajay Devgn is uncannily compelling in the title character.

Sonali Kulkarni releases compiliation of articles in a book

One of the finest actresses in Bollywood, Sonali Kulkarni launched her book titled "So Kul,” at the Crossword Book Store on Tuesday. The book is a compilation of 102 articles written by the actress for a Marathi newspaper ‘Lokasatta’ weekly supplement Viva.

"I just want to write and keep on writing. I don't know if someday I would write a novel or not," revealed the excited Sonali just before the launch of her book.

Whether it is male hating kaamwali bai (Sonali) or his bookstore running 'intellectual' colleague (Rituparna) or his adolescent neighbour, it doesn’t matter for Vir.

Actress Sonali Kulkarni turns author

New Delhi, June 15: Sonali Kulkarni, whose roles in "Mission Kashmir" and "Dil Chahta Hai" were highly appreciated, has diverted her energies towards writing a book in her mother tongue Marathi.

"My book titled 'Sokool' will be out next month. I wrote 101 articles for a newspaper for two years. I have re-worked those writeups, added certain things which are now relevant and have compiled them for the book," Sonali told IANS on telephone from Mumbai.

The actress made her debut with Amol Palekar's "Daayraa" in 1995 and won the best actress award for the film at the France International Film Festival.

Later, she went on to do films like "Pyar Tune Kya Kiya", "Dil Vil Pyar Vyar", "Bride and Prejudice" and "Taxi No. 9211". She will now be seen in "Rock Shock", "The Man" and "Camp".

I will never do intimate scenes: Jaaved Jaaferi

New Delhi, June 14: Jaaved Jaaferi, who tickled the funny bone of audiences in "Salaam Namaste", says he will never do intimate scenes in films.

"I can never do intimate scenes in films. I'm not comfortable doing scenes which require a lot of sexuality," Jaaved told IANS in an interview.

The actor is all set for his forthcoming film "Paying Guests".
