Sonam, Abhay’s 'Aisha' snatches 260 million at the BO

Quite a few reasons can be cited for the hype and hoopla surrounding Sonam’s ‘Aisha’ even after its highly anticipated release on Friday, and one of them could be the film’s unexpected earning of 260 million at the box-office on the opening day.

'Aisha', an adaptation of Jane Austen’s bestseller classic novel 'Emma', is a youth film to the core. The movie takes the audience in the world of the elite class and is a female-protagonist movie that centres on Aisha, played by the Masakali girl Sonam Kapoor.

Coming to the storyline of the movie, writer Devika Bhagat has worked hard in getting the characters out of the novel and onto the streets of the modern-day Delhi.

According to the latest buzz, the forthcoming movies ‘Aisha’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ are likely to face tough competition with each other as both are eagerly being awaited by urban audiences.

Though it has been three days since ‘Aisha’s’ promo release, more than one lakh viewers viewed the promo within 24 hours.

Sonam Kapoor is to be paired with Abhay Deol in her next venture produced by none other than Daddy dearest, Anil Kapoor!

Fresh story, fresh pairs is what bollywood seems to be on the hunt for. And, it looks like, with Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor being paired together, this movie would react excitement about the chemistry between the new on-screen Jodi.

The movie, titled as “Ayesha” is going to be directed by veteran director Rajshri Ojha who is known for his offbeat sense of movie making with movies such as Chourahen, Yatna and Badger. The movie is all set to hit the floors in June this year as soon as Anil Kapoor is back in the town from US where he is shooting for the hit American TV series 24.
