After watching ‘Kahaani’, the 39 year old director shared on his Twitter page, “Kahaani is how a thriller should be shot...the ending is debatable but what an effort."
It apparently seems that the astounding success of Vidya Balan's ‘No One Killed Jessica’ 'Paa','Ishqiya' and ‘The Dirty Picture’ has morphed Vidya into a brand which along with the hardcore promotion of ‘Kahaani’ has already done much for Ghosh’s film before its release this Friday.
Ghosh counting on Vidya’s stars
Ghosh says, "'Kahaani' is more of Vidya's baby than mine today. She had a certain belief in the film and today she is proud of it.”
The back-to-back success of Vidya Balan's ‘Paa’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’ and finally ‘The Dirty Picture’, has given fresh hopes to Sujoy Ghosh for his upcoming movie ‘Kahaani’ in which Vidya Balan would be in a lead role.
‘Kahaani’ is a female centric film which revolves around the pregnant Vidya in search of her missing husband, played by the Bengali actor Parambrata Chaterjee.
Ghosh confessed his career was spiraling down after ‘Aladin’ failed miserably at the Box-office and ‘Kahaani’ was the script in which only he and Vidya initially believed.
