Born as Ajay Singh Deol, this Indian actor, producer and director was later christened as Sunny Deol.
Sunny Deol was born on Oct. 19, 1956 at New Delhi to Dharmendra, an illustrious actor of the yesteryears. His younger brother Bobby Deol is also an actor.
Sunny has two sisters, Vijeyta and Ajita and two half sisters from his father’s second wedding, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
Sunny tied knot with Pooja and the duo is blessed with two sons, Rajvir and Ranvir.
Sunny studied acting at the England’s Old Web Theater. He hogged the limelight with his debut movie ‘Betaab’, directed by Rahul Rawail. He went through a dry spell for a couple of years with no hits and then made a comeback with the movie ‘Arjun’.
The film ‘Gayal’ was considered as a turning point in his career, when he bagged both, National Award and the Filmfare Best Award.
Sunny’s epic hit came with the movie ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. This is considered as his biggest hit till date.
His directorial debut venture ‘Dillagi’ was a letdown. Sunny himself starred in the movie, along with his younger brother Bobby and Urmila Matondkar.
There was a long standing rumor about his affair with Dimple Kapadia. But at the end, Sunny knocked out all the rumors.
