Biography

Kareena Kappor, aka Bebo, is one of the hottest and happening actresses of the B-town. Bebo was born on Sept. 21, 1980 to the Bollywood couple, Randhir Kapoor and Babita.

She has almost five generations of actors in her genes and no wonder acting is a piece of cake for her. Her elder sister Karisma is also an actress. The name “Kareena” was derived from the book “Anna Karenina”, a book that Bebo’s mom was studying when she was pregnant.

In spite of her family background, Bebo’s father restrained her from acting stating that woman taking up acting as a profession conflicted with their traditional values. This conflict ended up with Babita leaving the house with Bebo and Karisma.

Kareena is currently in a relationship with Chhote Nawab, Saif Ali Khan.

Kareena made her debut with the movie ‘Refugee’ and instantly enticed both the audience and the critics with her striking charisma and won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

After tasting the cream of success with commercial flicks, she turned to character play with the movie ‘Chameli’ in which she portrayed the character of a prostitute. The film brought her skills to the fore and she was shot to stardom at once.

Kareena was casted with role of negative shades in the movie ‘Fida’ during which she developed a relationship with Shahid Kapoor.

In ‘Jab We Met’, Bebo played the role of a vivacious Sikh girl, Geet, with a zest for life and won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

As far as Bebo’s social nature is concerned, she donated all the prize money won by her in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepathi’ in 2007 to St.Anthony’s Old Age Home.

Even though she declared herself as a foodie, she maintained her ‘size zero’ figure with daily yoga routine and salad-soup diet.
