Sajid Khan‘s 'Housefull 2' is likeably cynical and utter confusion embellished with melodrama and comic gags .

The sequel brings in cheer till the end through its dose of comic possibilities and does serve fans with enough laugh-out-loud moments. It’s just as fun as its various trailers shown it to be. And unlike most comedy films that fizzle out half way through, this comedy franchise never ceases to become half baked fun but is flat-out crassly hilarious and slapstick.

Upside and Downside
The film is pretty hilarious and adds laugh with its right comic pacing. The action scenes and witty dialogues are stand out. Performance-wise Akshay as always clicks with his role and does the Ranjeet act with finesse, while the beefy John doesn’t seem to have a knack for comedy.

As usual Riteish is a knockout with his comic timing and is funny. Rishi and Randhir Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty brought their A-game. On the other hand the four girls Asin, Jacqueline, Zarine and Shazahn add glamour to their roles.

While the songs Malaika’s 'Anarkali disco chali' and 'Pappa toh band bajaayein' are definite winners.

Storyline
The two warring step brothers Chintu Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor) and Daboo Kapoor (Randhir Kapoor) can’t stand the sight of each other. Even both their daughters Heena (Asin) and Bobby (Jacqueline Fernandez) hate each other.

Chintu Kapoor and Daboo Kapoor are recklessly determined on finding UK’s richest man for their respective daughters. Both of them hire the marriage counselor Aakhri Pasta (Chunky Pandey) to find the richest elite groom for Heena and Bobby.

Incidentally Pasta takes Jai’s (Shreyas) father to Chintu Kappor who gets a heart attack after being insulted by the latter.

This angers Jai who swears to take revenge on Chintu Kappor and then gets in touch with Jolly (Riteish), the son of the richest person in UK, JD (Mithun Chakraborty) who decides to help the Jai.

Then Jai and Jolly call upon Max (John Abraham) to pose as Jolly and send him to Chintu’s house to propose marriage and reject her in the last minute.

And in midst of all this planning and confusion Max lands in Daboo Kapoor’s house, which apparently leads to Max proposing marriage to Daboo’s daughter Bobby.

So next Jai and Jolly rope in Sunny (Akshay) to pose as Jolly to take revenge on Chintu’s family, and this leads to both Chintu and Daboo believing that their prospective son-in law is Jolly (Sunny and Max).

Jai and Jolly’s love interests, Parul (Shazahn) and JLO (Zareen) respectively and JD’s decision to get his son, Jolly married to Bakul’s (Boman) daughter contribute in making matters more worse for the duo.

Bottom-line
This original film did grab everybody’s attention; the sequel has managed to graduate to a bigger and better one than the previous film. You can watch this year’s silliest but funniest movie at least once.
