Apparently, Aishwarya had committed to a special Longines event on March 31 as part of the Dubai World Cup, the fanciest horse race affair in the world.
Skillfully evading the paparazzi, the former Miss world left town with Beti B, her mother Vrinda Rai, the baby’s nanny and her PR manager.
This is Aaradhya’s (no confirmation from the Bachchans yet on the name) first overseas trip. Abhishek was unable to join the group because of work commitments in Mumbai.
"The brand people have booked a private suite for Ash and her entourage. When she is at the event, the baby will be looked after by her grandmother and nanny. It was a commitment made by Ash a while ago, so she didn`t want to back out,” revealed a source.
Ash presents award
Looking stunning in a bright orange traditional outfit by the Indian designer Sabyasachi, the 38-year-old made a brief appearance at the Dubai World Cup on Saturday.
Aishwarya presented a ladies’ watch from the Longines Saint-Imier Collection to winner Carolyn Coe who was selected as the Most Elegant Dressed Lady at Meydan.
“I have been to Dubai before, but this is my first time to this event and it has been an absolute pleasure,” said Rai Bachchan at the presentation ceremony.
"It's been an exciting day and yes, I am travelling with my baby," she said before making a quick getaway from the Jaguar Style Stakes stage.
Aishwarya has consciously chosen to scale down her public appearances post delivery.
The little one is keeping Ash on her toes and the actress is reveling each moment of motherhood. The beauty queen is in a happy phase of her life and in no mood to juggle work with her new born.
Abhishek had recently said that Aishwarya will resume acting as and when she feels like it.
"When she wants to come back is completely her decision...as and when she decides, when she sees a script she is inspired by - the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing," said Abhishek.
