Though the B-town biggie was ignoring the negative tweets for long, it seems the King Khan cannot take it anymore.

The last tweet posted by SRK was on Nov. 3 when he was in Berlin shooting for 'Don 2'. He wrote, “Birthday with the babies at the shoot in Berlin.”

Too many questions to answer
It's believed that King Khan, through Twitter, was being frequently questioned about his friendship with ex-buddy Farah Khan and his reviews on her forthcoming film, 'Tees Maar Khan'.

Considering the hype that would have created if SRK quit publicly, SRK decided to go off the social networking site quietly.

A little birdie familiar with the matter revealed Mid-Day, “Shah Rukh had been receiving a lot of negative comments lately. He was upset and hurt as a result.

“And that is why he has withdrawn. He preferred to lie low instead of hitting back through the micro blogging site.

“Also, he doesn't believe in blocking people who post negative comments but he is in a headspace where he doesn't want any kind of negativity."

SRK talks about being mum on Twitter in 'Koffee With Karan'
In conversation with Karan Johar on chat show, 'Koffee With Karan', SRK shared the reasons for being off from Twitter for long.

He said, “I feel love from lakhs of people but there are lots of people who say rude things about my family and friends and that hurts me. I don't want to read those things, so I am staying away from Twitter."

The episode will be aired on Jan. 1, 2011, and believe it or not, it's going to bring some exciting revelations.

SRK has the second highest followers on Twitter
On comparing celebs with highest followers on Twitter, Priyanka Chopra ruled the roost with 7,58,355 followers, while SRK bagged the second spot with 7,36,189 followers.

Amitabh Bachchan has a total of 5,47,806 fan following, while Salman Khan has 5,24,603 followers. Strangely, Aamir Khan is too far from the target with 4,30,571 followers, and Akshay Kumar has just 2,62,476 followers.

Bollywood director Karan Johar has 3,75,714 followers, far more than Akki, and Junior Bachchan has 4,23,745 twitterers following him.

Besides Piggy Chops, other actress going strong on Twitter is Preity Zinta (4,60,663) and Deepika Padukone (4,79,027).

Hope you to see you back on Twitter, SRK!
