Neil to essay SRK’s role in Baazigar remake?

Last seen in a cameo in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ opposite Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh’s career did not quite take off the way it was expected to after a promising start in ‘Johnny Gaddar’. Undeterred by box-office results, the actor is once again back to action with ‘Players.’

According to multiple media reports, director duo Abbas Mustan have signed Neil for a three-film-deal, including his upcoming action thriller ‘Players’, which is slated to hit theaters on January 6, 2012.

If sources are to be believed, after watching Neil’s acting in the film, the makers are considering Neil for SRK’s character in the remake of 1993 blockbuster film ‘Baazigar’.

A friend of the actor revealed, “Abbas-Mustan, after seeing Neil’s bad boy act in the rushes of their forthcoming film have decided to cast him in their remake of Baazigar.”

Buzz has it that the directors are working out the details of how to shape the characters in the new Baazigar.

Confirming the news, “It is true I’ve been signed by Abbas-Mustan. I hope it’s for Baazigar,” Neil told the daily.
