Mr. Perfectionist revealed the news on Facebook, "Hey guys, most excited to share with y'all that we have finally chosen a name for our baby boy...Azad. Azad Rao Khan. I left the final choice to Kiran, and she has named him after my great grand uncle Maulana Azad, the great freedom fighter, whom the family is most proud of.”

The elated father added, "Azad means free or liberated. We want to thank everyone for their warm wishes and blessings, and needless to say we are absolutely overjoyed and feel most blessed. Much love."

The couple’s son was born through IVF surrogacy mother in a private clinic. They opted for surrogacy due to complications after Kiran’s suffered miscarriage in 2009.

Aamir already has a son Junaid and a daughter Ira from his first wife Reena. But they divorced in 2002 ending their 15-year-old marriage.

Aamir and Kiran who met on the sets of 'Lagaan' got hitched on 29 December 2005.
