B-town's highest paid actress: Kareena

From setting the size-zero trend to reaching the No. 1 position, Bollywood diva and now Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' Kareena Kapoor surely knows how to make heads turn. The actress has now also become the highest paid actress of Bollywood.

As far as year 2011 is concerned, Kareena has had two major hits, 'Bodyguard' with Salman Khan and 'Ra.One' with SRK, in her kitty. According to trade analysts, both the films raked in over 100 crores.

Buzz has it that Kareena will be paid Rs. 8 crore for Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine', which is the highest amount ever paid to any Bollywood actress.

I'm getting what I deserve -- Kareena
Reportedly, Kareena was the original choice for 'Heroine', but when things did not work out between Madhur and Kareena, makers of the film brought Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the board.

Later, Ash had to walk out of the film due to her pregnancy, and that's when Madhur succeeded in striking a deal with Kareena.

According to the sources, Kareena had demanded 10 crores for the project but the filmmaker eventually settled on 8 crores, making her the highest paid actress in the Bollywood.

With this move, Kareena has replaced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who got Rs. 6 crore for Rajnikanth's 'Robot', as the costliest actress in B-town.

Regarding the fee, Kareena said, "I am getting only what I rightly deserve."

The shoot for the movie started on November 26. She is placed opposite Arjun Rampal.

Recently, the actress was also voted as the sexiest Asian woman in the world by a weekly newspaper 'Eastern Eye'.
