Apparently, the actor got so angry that he refused to comment and showed the door to the journalist.
To help Salman, Sonakshi took control over the situation by saying, “It’s absolutely unfair to ask Salman such a question. You should know that Salman’s father is a Muslim and his mother, a Hindu. Using religion for such an issue is disgusting.”
Sonakshi even tweeted about this incident on the micro-blogging stating, “Salman pissed off. journo in nagpur asks hm y dabangg is being emphasized 2 being released on Eid whn ganesh chathurthi is at the same time!”
She further alleged that Salman would have never been angry if the question would have asked genuinely but the intention of the journalist was wrong.
“Not realising salmans father is muslim, mother a hindu. Innocent question wudve been answered but the intention was wrong!,” she added.
The movie is scheduled for release during Eid as it has proved lucky for the star. Last year, ‘Wanted’ was released during the same time and it fared well at the box office.
“Jst 2 create controversy or raise trp, using religion is disgsting. Esp wit sm1 like him. Whn wil these guys grw up n c the broader picture?,” the 23-year-old actress added.
