Salman sends court notice to ‘Veer’ producer Vijay Galani

Tinsel town’s eligible bachelor, Salman Khan seems to taking his work quite seriously. According to the latest reports, the actor has sent a legal notice to ‘Veer’ producer Vijay Galani, claiming an outstanding amount of Rs 15 crore for rendering his acting services in ‘Veer’.

A copy of the same notice was also sent to Eros International.

Reason behind issue of legal notice
After ‘Veer’s' debacle at the box-office, Galani claimed that he in a huge financial crisis. Seeing this, Salman exempted a major part of his remuneration.

But when Salman came to know about the profit earned by the producer in a deal with Eros, he responded immediately by sending a court notice.

Eros responded immediately after receiving the court notice. As quoted by Mumbai Mirror, a source revealed, “Eros International immediately got out of this controversy by making it very clear to Salman that they had only struck an acquisition deal with Galani for Veer.

This means that Galani was paid an x amount and 50 per cent of the overflow (profit) was to be shared between Eros and Galani if the film was a box-office success.”

“There is a reason why Salman was driven to send Galani this legal notice. Galani had been flaunting the fact that he has made a Rs 10 crore profit on Veer despite the film bombing at the box office. Obviously, when Salman got to know of this, he was furious,” a source said.

Salman taking work seriously
Seeing Salman's response, one thing is quite clear that the actor has started taking his work quite seriously.

A little birdie revealed, “There is a marked change in Salman’s approach towards his work. His work is no longer handled by Ajay, Jordy or Sohail. His sister Alvira and a new manager called Reshma Shetty now handle all his contracts.”

Buzz has it that Salman is planning to lodge a complaint against Galani with CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes’ Association).

Though Galani has refused receiving any legal notice, Salman’s Secretary Vikas Kapoor confirmed the news and said, “Yes, Vijay Galani has been sent a notice for an amount of Rs 15 crore.”
