Soulful Melodies trace the journey of Amol’s life

Mumbai, Aug. 12: Amol Palekar’s film ‘Samaantar’ promises to bring the pure essence of Marathi music in the film. Film is about two parallel lives crossing each other in the twilight of life. Similarly, the melody of the songs is in parallel with the narrative of the film, having its own significance.

The songs are rooted in classical, as well as folk music. Kishore Kadam popularly known as Saumitra between young Marathi listeners, has penned the lyrics for all the songs in this film. Sandhya Gokhale of Paheli fame has brilliantly inscribed the music with stupendous screenplay. Music composer Anand Modak is also the man behind perfect accent of non-marathi singers. The most-wanted singers Shankar Mhadevan and Shreya Ghoshal voice the brilliant craft of Modak. Known as Big B’s voice, Sudesh Bhosle has superbly brought out the sorrow of the boatman’s yearning in one of the song.

With the exception of Shamila Tagore and Shankar Mahadevan, the entire cast and crew graced the event of ‘Samaantar’ Music release with their presence. They distributed Modak for the beautiful music brought out by Modak.
