The latest offering from the Karan Johar’s stable ‘I Hate Luv Storys', starring chocolate boy Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, is the new buzz in B-town.
Particularly making news is the music of the much-awaited movie; the music composer pair, Vishal and Shekhar, has truly given a winner.
While the movie’s title goes against the sentiment of love, the songs, which are in sync with the movie's storyline, surely go in contrast with the title. The best songs of the flick are 'Bahara', ‘I Hate Luv Storys' and 'Sadke Hua'.
'I Hate Luv Storys' sound tracks
The music seems to be creating quite an excitement among the public. In all, the movie has five songs, with remix and reprise versions of a few numbers.
Opening the album is the ‘Jab Mila Tu’ track, sung by Vishal himself. It is a melodious and soft song with good aura.
The next soundtrack is ‘Bin Tere’ that has three versions, original, remix and reprise, sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali and Sunidhi Chauhan. The romantic duet sounds delightful.
The remix has some English lyrics and gives a techno feel. Though the reprise by Shekhar Ravijiani is good, it is not an everlasting song, and so, has a short shelf life.
The title soundtrack is sung by Vishal and goes well with the title. The song is groovy and all pepped up, but sadly, it fails to generate much interest among music lovers.
Stunning vocals and sound quality make the next song titled 'Bahara' a phenomenonal number. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Sona Mohapatra, the song cannot fail to be liked by all music buffs.
The reprise version of the song, in which Rahet Fateh Ali Khan lends his voice, is also a true winner.
Suraj Jagan and Mahalakshmi Iyer wind up the album with their romantic ballad 'Sadke Hua', a song that is filled with emotions. The lyrics are fresh and it is quite a hummable track.
Final verdict
Overall, the music is good and the songs have something for almost all sorts of music lovers.
A mix of classical, pop, jazz, techno and peppy beats makes the album a must have for all Bollywood music buffs.
