Lady Gaga refuses to resort to dieting for weight loss
Famous worldwide for her peculiar music and outlandish dressing sense, the award winning International pop singer Lady Gaga again became the center of attention when she was spotted flashing her bulging thighs and double chin at her recent tour in Amsterdam.
In a rendezvous with TV host Elvis Duran, the 'Bad Romance' singer confessed to having gained a thumping 25 pounds.
However, she immediately lashed the rumours that link her growing belly to her excessive drinking by presenting a completely different excuse and saying, "I love eating pasta and pizza. I’m a New York Italian girl. That’s why I have been staying out of New York."
"My father opened a restaurant. It's so amazing. It’s so freaking delicious, but I’m telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there. So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I’m, like, I’ve got to go where I can drink green juice."
The outspoken and forthright singing diva also claimed that she does not feel bad about her weight gain and firmly believes that it would be utterly ridiculous to hide herself under loose and baggy clothes.
Her friends also supported her statement saying that Lady Gaga has always encouraged her fans and followers to love themselves however they are and has absolutely no intention of resorting to a diet. She would instead opt for more healthy options whenever she would feel the need to get back in shape, they said.
On the closing note of the interview, Elvis praised Lady Gaga for her straightforwardness and said to all the listeners, "With Gaga, what you see is what you get. Whether she's wearing a meat dress or a goldfish-filled bowl on her head, you know you're always getting straightforward and honest Lady Gaga."
Admiring her message to all her fans round the globe, he also added, "The same goes for her views on celebrating our differences and individuality. Her message always encourages us to love ourselves for who we are and what we bring to the table. So, if she gains a few pounds, let it go! We owe it to her to celebrate her art and her message, not point out what some would erroneously believe is a flaw."
Finally we have a celebrity who does as she preaches. Good going Gaga!!!
