Last year the actor couldn’t be a part of Ganpati celebrations, but this time he did not want to miss Shivaratri, so he has made plans to celebrate it in his farm house Karjat with family members.
The actor’s dad Salim Khan had already reached the farm on Saturday to prepare for the Shiv puja. It’s heard that the actor’s farm house has a small shrine which was renovated and is being maintained by a pujari.
A friend of the actor revealed that the actor is looking forward to celebrating it with his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail.
“Salman believes in Lord Shiva as much as he believes in other Gods. Last year was the first time he missed Ganpati celebrations as he was undergoing a surgery in the US for his nerve disorder and he was definitely not happy about that," Salman’s friend said.
Salman to celebrate with villagers
Salman who is known to celebrate festivals with fervor has decided to include 125 villagers next to his farm house for the Maha Shivratri. It is also reported that a few friends of actor would also be joining him for the ‘arati’ at Karjat.
"The celebration will also include over 125 villagers from the neighbouring area. The Khan family reportedly takes Shiv Ratri as seriously as they do Iftaar and on both occasions, food is distributed among the poor and sent to orphanages, old-age homes, besides friends and relatives," further said his close pal.
Meanwhile, a source revealed that the actor would be taking a break in his farmhouse for 10 days and would get back to work on March 9 where he would start shooting for his brother’s ambitious project, ‘Dabangg 2’.
