Madhuri's wax figure costs £150,000 at Tussauds

The statement released by Madame Tussauds stated that Madhuri’s wax figure would cost 150,000 pounds, which was derived at after considering the overall look that would be created by a team of sculptors, hair, and makeup to wardrobe specialists.
It is learnt that her wax copy would be donning a sari from Bollywood’s favorite designer Manish Malhotra’s latest collection.
Interestingly, Tussauds also confirmed that they chose to have Madhuri as they were inundated with requests from her fans from across the globe.
“Madhuri has already given a sitting to our sculptors in Mumbai and is expected to unveil her likeness here in March.Her figure will make a stunning new addition to our Bollywood area which continues to grow in popularity every year,” said Madame Tussauds in a statement.
Meanwhile, confirming about her wax replica to be unveiled in March, Madhuri tweeted, “Madame Tussaud’s made the announcement and I am confirming it. Will be in London in March to introduce my likeness! Thanks for all ur support.”
Madhuri not in Ishqiya sequel
Contrary to the rumors doing the rounds that Madhuri Dixit would be part of the sequel of the 2010 film ‘Ishqiya’, the actress confirmed in a recent interview that she was never approached for ‘Dedh Ishqiya’.
“I don’t want to speak about Dedh Ishqiya. It’s pointless to talk about a project I haven’t been offered," said the actress.
Currently, the 44-year-old star is focusing on her family and is not quite happy with the kind of film offers that are coming her way. But, Madhuri said that would make an official announcement once she is ready for the films.
It was also reported that even filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar had a meeting with Madhuri for 'Fashion' sequel. However, the actress stated that she was never offered a role in the second installment of the film.
Right now, Madhuri is excited about endorsing a new channel for which she will have to shoot only for a short duration, giving her ample time to spend with her sons Arin and Ryan.
“I have offers, but I haven’t accepted any. I decided to endorse a new channel because it suits me. I have to shoot for a smaller duration, the philosophy of the channel is similar to my life’s, and it leaves me with ample time for my sons (Arin and Ryan),” Madhuri stated.
