According to the latest reports, 'Why this Kolaveri Di' singer Dhanush will perform at the BIG Star Entertainment Awards on Sunday.

It’s also heard that the TV actress Jiaa Manek would be shaking a leg for the hit song number at the awards function.

Apart from Dhanush, Bollywoood superstar Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Jacqueline Fernandes would be performing at the event.

Akshay hasn’t bought the remake rights of ‘Kolaveri Di’
Recently, speculations were rife that Akshay Kumar has bought the Hindi remake rights of Dhanush’s song.

However, a friend of Akshay confirmed that the actor was never keen to buy the rights of the Tamil song, since people across the globe are familiar with the song and felt it would not be a good option to have it remade.

“The Kolaveri Di song is not being remade in Hindi. The song has been heard in its original version by everybody across the globe, and therefore is not an economically viable option as a Hindi remake. Nobody will listen to it,” said Akshay's friend.

Meanwhile, it’s heard that Akki has apparently bought the rights of a Telugu song and is planning to use it in a movie.

A source close to Akshay has confirmed that the producers of Dhanush’s upcoming film 3 have not sold the rights of ‘Kolaveri Di’.

Speaking about the rights for Kolaveri Di, a source stated, “The song is done and there are so many unofficial remixed versions already available on the net. Moreover, nobody wants to sell the rights of the song because the song is already earning money (from downloads etc). However, business deals cannot be predicted and the statusmight change anytime in the future.”
