Veena Malik claims damages of Rs 10 crore over nude photo

Pakistani actress and model Veena Malik has now sent a legal notice to FHM India after her nude pose on the cover of the men’s lifestyle magazine has created a stir among people worldwide.

While some are outraged to see the actress posing naked on the mag’s December 2011 issue, others have protested against the thespian for exhibiting the ‘ISI’ tattoo on her arm.

Paying heed to filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s advice, Veena sent a legal notice to Maxposure Corporate Media (India) Private Limited (FHM's parent), Kabeer Sharma (Chief Editor of FHM India), and photographer Vishal Saxena.

Veena claims Rs 10 crore for fake nude image
Veena Malik has charged them with maligning her image and claimed a whopping amount of Rs 10 crore as damages.

Veena has delineated all the discussions in their meetings in the legal document.

According to her, she was approached by Vishal Saxena for the interview and photoshoot for the December issue of the magazine.

Later, Kabeer contacted Veena asking her to sport the initials of ‘ISI’ on her arm.

It was decided that four images of Veena will be published in the magazine, and these were: “(a) An image of our client wearing a shorts and tee shirt and boots; (b) An image of our client wearing fur coat upto thighs and boots; (c) An image with hot pants and broad big belt and that the upper portion of her body would be covered with her hands and an ISI tattoo on her hand; (d) An image with a tattoo of 'ISI' appearing on one hand.

“Our client would wear a bikini and/or a thong in the image and that she would pose with folded hands and her upper portion of her body would be covered with other tattoos.

“Our client was assured that no nude photograph in any manner would be shot by you.”

Nothing has been doctored -- FHM India editor
FHM India’s Editor Kabeer Sharma denied all the allegations and told BBC that the images have not been morphed and they even have a video evidence of the photoshoot.

Kabeer said, “We have video footage of the shoot as well as emails from Veena about how she's looking forward to the cover.

“The idea to have ISI written on her arm was mine, and it was Veena's idea to have it in block letters.”

Though no one has yet been proven guilty, it is being speculated that this is a publicity stunt by Veena as the sizzling actress will soon be seen finding her “Mr. Right” on ‘Swayamvar Season 4’.
