John Abraham was initially offered the role of Robbie in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' (KKKG)....

Buzz has it that even his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone got teary-eyed after watching Ranbir’s performance in the film.
If sources are to be believed, Dips got so involved in the film that she started crying while watching Jordan’s character on screen. Ranbir had invited Deepika along with Katrina, Anushka, and a few other friends from the industry to a special screening of the film.
When asked to comment, Deepika said, “I have watched 'Rockstar' twice. I even went up to Ranbir and asked him what he was going to do after this, because with this film, he has entered an interesting phase of his career.
“Ranbir has always been a good actor -- he just needed the right director to give him that role,” she added.
Deepika excited about working with Ranbir
Rarely do we hear B-town ex-flames starring in a film together. But breaking the usual norm, one-time love birds Deepika and Ranbir are all set to star in Ayan Mukherjee’s next, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.
Unlike most actors, Ranbir and Deepika have a come a long way since their break-up. “Ranbir and I have been waiting for a good script to come our way for some time. And when Ayan came up with the script for 'YJHD', we were both very excited. It's an amazing script and we will start shooting for it in January,” the actress said.
I’m comfortable working with Deepika -- Ranbir
When asked about working with Deepika again, Ranbir replied, “Honestly speaking, I am absolutely comfortable working with her. And I am sure she is equally excited to work in the film. And we are really looking forward to it.”
“Yes, Deepika and I come with our baggage because of our relationship and how heavily it was reported, but I think it’s our job as actors to work hard on our characters and make people forget about reality,” said the actor.
As for Ayan’s ‘Ye Jawaani Hai Dewaani’, the actor said, “It will hit the floors in February and I am looking forward to it because it’s a Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge-meets-Hum Aapke Hai Kaun-meets-Wake Up Sid-meets-West Side Story. We’re trying to make the film the love story of this generation.”
