This is the most challenging role for me – Sonakshi
Sonakshi’s entrance in an old red car dressed all over in a traditional Bengali sari and Ranveer Singh’s appearance on a bike in a brown leather jacket and a white t-shirt with suspenders took everyone’s breath away.
Ranveer and Sonakshi's grand entry gathered the scattered crowd by the blink of an eye. The actors had arrived for a press meet held for the announcement of the film.
Sonakshi seemed to be very excited about her role in the film. She said in the meeting, "This is the most challenging role for me. I am looking all forward to start shooting and working with Ranveer.”
Lootera, a love story of 1950s
Commenting on her gorgeous Bengali look in the film, she said, “I love to dress Indian which makes me a typical Hindi film heroine. LOOTERA will give me an opportunity to dress like original and authentic Bengali lady. I have this authentic Bengali look of the 1950's era. I will wear jewelry, clothes, kajal and make-up and etc of the same time period. We have kept the look original and as authentic as that of 1950s.”
Off-screen link ups in air
Ranveer was all praises for Sonakshi and said, “Sonakshi had taken my breath away with her famous dialogue 'Thapad Se Darr Nahi Lagta...Pyaar Se Lagta Hai’.”
When asked about his Bengali look in the film, he quipped, “I am the coolest dude of the 1950s...with that high waist jeans and all retro look. I carry a coolest dude ever look even in high-waist pants. I think, I'm the second actor after Aamir Khan who has worn such pants. I draw inspiration from Dev Anand and James Dean though when it comes to dressing for ‘Lootera’.”
Though both the actors are only one-film-old but the news of their off screen link ups are already grabbing headlines in the media circuit.
