Bollywood’s youngest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, who is on high post after starting the promotions for his upcoming film 'Rockstar', confessed in a recent interview that the film was supposedly not offered to him earlier.
Having been in the industry for more than three years, Ranbir who has enjoyed his stint with different set of directors and genres revealed that the film was not offered to him initially, and it was supposed to be made with another actor three years ago.
“I remember 'Rockstar' was being made with a different actor and by a different production house at that point of time. My friend told me this one line description of the film which is basically a journey of a musician who becomes an iconic 'Rockstar' only after her suffers a heartbreak. I really liked the story and was waiting for the film to be made,” said Ranbir.
Ranbir, who was keen to be part of ‘Rockstar’ earlier, didn’t expect that he would be part of this musical film. The actor admitted that it had been a journey of dreams coming true after the film was offered to him.
“Cut to 3 years later, Imtiaz came to me with another film. While discussing that film, I asked him. He said there were some problems with the budget and script etc.
"2 months later I got a call from him and he said that he had gone back to the drawing board, had fleshed out the script in detail and was now keen to make Rockstar with me. So it was like a dream come true moment for me,” further stated the actor.
Ranbir gives a surprise bash for Nargis on her birthday
Recently, Ranbir gave his costar Nargis Fakhri a birthday surprise in mid-air while on the way to Nagpur for the promos of 'Rockstar'.
Ranbir, who seems to be sharing close proximity with Nargis, had already ordered her favorite Ferrero Rocher chocolate cake from Mumbai and had even managed to have brought it inside the aircraft`without her knowledge.
Nargis wasn’t aware about Ranbir’s plan
A source stated that Nargis had no idea about the surprise party in the air and didn’t have a clue about it.
The actress who never expected that the Rockstar team would celebrate the occasion got emotional while cutting the cake.
"Everyone knew it was her birthday and at Mumbai airport she was wished but she had no inkling of the mid-air drama," said the source.
Nargis celebrated her birthday with Ranbir, singer Mohit Chauhan and producer Hiren Gandhi.
