The revelation was made by SRK himself who said that he had approached both of his friends for his dream project but, had to return barehanded.

While talking to his friend, actress Preity Zinta on UTV Stars’ show ‘Up Close and Personal with PZ’, Shah Rukh revealed, “I went to all directors to make this film (RA.One) and even my own friends like Karan or Aditya. They all are lallu (idiots) I say. I wanted to do something more than a romantic comedy."

No stone left unturned for movie’s success
As SRK's Sci-fi flick RA.One is soon set to hit the theatres, the actor is leaving no stone unturned for movie's success.

Apart from a video game based on the movie, RA.One is also being released in 3D.

From Akon’s presence in the famous song Chammak Challo to roping in Lady in the film's premiere, SRK seems to being doing all he can to ensure that RA.One is liked by movie goers.

Shah Rukh, who is playing his dream role of a superstar in RA.One is very optimistic about the response to the movie.

Even Director Anubhav is confident that RA.One will be liked by movie goers.

"I have been informed that I am officially broke and RA.One has turned out to be one of the most expensive films. If this film does well, it will go down the history and will be remembered. I am glad I have bought something to India which has never been seen before... I am very inspired by Krish and Drona,” said Anubhav.

The film also stars actors Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor. The film also features a cameo by superstar Rajinikanth and a special voiceover by Amitabh Bachchan whom Shah Rukh Khan approached.

RA.One is scheduled to release on Oct. 26.
