Aamir Khan rejected the role of Rahul Mehra, portrayed by Shahrukh Khan, in the flick 'Darr' (...

They had composed the hit song ‘Aakhri Alvia’ for ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ in 2007 but Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia, the band members, had to leave the country following the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
“This is going to be a dream project. As composers, we always want to challenge ourselves to explore new musical spaces. Now, we have a chance to do so. Since we are doing most of the film’s songs, the canvas is huge,” bands lead singer Kapadia said.
Talking about the music of the film, he said, “There will be songs close to our own genre, but that will be only 25 per cent of the whole soundtrack.
All the melodies are sounding nice. And since India has a lot of talent, we would definitely want to work with our Indian friends. We’ll be coming to Mumbai soon to finalise all the singers and arrangers.”
The film will release by December end.
MTV decided to go without Strings
The band was expected to be working in Mumbai sooner for MTV Unplugged but things did not work out.
“Everything was done, we got the visas and were ready to fly to Mumbai. We were excited and looking forward to the session, but unfortunately, MTV decided to go ahead without us at the last moment,” Kapadia said.
Albums are waste of time
He also said that they were not launching any album anytime soon as it was a total waste of time.
“Albums are a waste of time these days. No one buys them anymore. Our plan is to keep on releasing singles. Every two to three months, we’ll come out with a new song that will be available on the internet for free,” he said.
