Amitabh's portrait in blood

Fans of Bollywood celebrities are known for doing weird things and this has once again been proved by a doctor, who calls himself an ardent fan of the megastar, Amitabh Bachchan.

Reportedly, Dr. Mahesh Yadav, who is an Ayurveda specialist, has painted a portrait of the senior Bachchan with human blood, to support the country-wide request to award the actor, the country's ultimate recognition, the Bharat Ratna, for his excellence in cinema.

What is even more astonishing is that the blood that was used to create the portrait was contributed by a group of fans of the megastar in Bhopal.

According to the doctor, the aim of the campaign was to send across a message to the President, Pratibha Patil, to present the prestigious award to the actor.

The Bharat Ratna request for Big B has been echoing in b-town ever since Lata Mangeshkar first raised the thought at an award function where she was felicitated with Hridaynath Award from the actor.

Amitabh sings Hanuman Chalisa

Meanwhile, the megastar has been busy in singing for movies too off late and he has recently lent his voice for singing the Hanuman Chalisa.

Confirming this, Amitabh’s Twitter post read, “Had sung Hanuman Chalisa under music by Aadesh Srivastav and 20 singers of Industry ... releasing shortly ... will inform date later.”

The actor who denies being called old even after being 68 years old, has also lent his voice to some hit songs like ‘Mere Angane Mein’ and ‘Chali Chali’.

Amitabh donates land in Lucknow

In another development, the actor has been reported to donate a 2.5 bigha land area near Lucknow to the village council of Daulapur village.

"Out of the total 12.5 bigha land area, 10 bighas are in the name of his daughter in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The land will be used for building a school. He has donated the remaining 2.5 bighas to the gram sabha," Amit Singh, gram pradhan (village head) of Daulatpur said.
