Now the lovely lady, who is known for her brilliant fashion sense,has expressed the wish to sizzle in a hot item number.

“I can’t help it if people see me in a serious light. I don’t intentionally go around looking for movie roles that project me in a certain way,” she gushed.

“I want to do commercial films and item numbers… unfortunately, no one has offered me that kind of role yet,” said the lissome beauty who has, till now not done, a truly sexy role.

Sonam needs oomph

While the lady has expressed a desire to don a sexy avatar, trade analysts feel that she lacks the oomph factor and needs to do some homework on her X factor.

“Sonam is extremely beautiful and stylish, but she needs to work on developing that X factor. She was relying on 'Mausam' to take her career to a completely new level, so it was a huge blow when it tanked. Now she needs to rework her strategy if she wants to do well,” said an industry insider.

Sonam eager to work in more projects like Mausam

She has been least perturbed by the negative reviews that the movie has received and instead she has shown her eagerness to do more roles similar to the one in Pankaj Kapur’s ‘Mausam’.

“I got positive things from the movie and want to do more films like Mausam. According to me, the economics of the film are good too. I have a very strange way of looking at any movie. The movie has done well and people still compliment me about the way I looked and acted in the movie,” she was quoted as saying.

“Also, I haven’t got any criticism, but if I will, then I can deal with it the right way,” Sonam added.

Well, we hope she gets more hits to her credit.
