Salman breaks Shahrukh’s overseas record

Archrivals Salman and Shahrukh have once again become the talk of the town! Well, this time it’s not any verbal spat between them which is creating a flutter, but it’s the overseas box-office collections for which the enemies are in news.

As per box-office reports, Salman has broken his archenemy Shahrukh’s overseas record by minting £194k with his latest outing ‘Bodyguard’, on its opening day in UK, and this is apparently £3k more than what SRK’s ‘My Name Is Khan’ had grossed on its release day in UK.

Reportedly, MINK collected £191k on its first day in UK.

With the Salman-starrer entertainer fetching such a mind-blowing box-office collections abroad, King Khan, who till date ruled the international market, has apparently descended to the second slot.

If my fans are happy, then I am also happy—Salman
Meanwhile, in a recent exclusive conversation with NDTV, the ‘Bodyguard’ star Salman Khan, talking about the success of his latest venture, stated that he is least concerned about the box-office collections, as he happy only when his fans are happy.

The superstar further added that his job is to look for good and entertaining scripts, and the rest, that is the monetary matters related to the film, is the moviemaker’s subject of concern.

Fielding a question about the rocking box-office collections, Salman told the daily, "I don't understand pursuing all those figures. I only understand what I have to do. Once the shooting and dubbing of the film is over, after that I am clueless. I don't know how many terrotories, what collection, I don't know anything.

“When they tell me I just pretend, 'Ok, Ok, this was the collection'. I don't care if it's the second biggest or third biggest. What I only care about is that the film is done well. Now number game is the producer's game. If he is happy, I am happy.”

Salman on his road to recovery
The reigning Khan of Bollywood Salman, who is currently in U.S. to get his nerve disorder fixed, while addressing the tabloids, articulated that the surgery for his ailment is all complete and he is on his road to recovery now.

Revealing his work plans, the actor said that after getting discharged from the hospital, he will be first flying to London and then to Dublin to kick start the shooting of YRF’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ opposite Katrina.
