It's Salman Vs SRK again!

Top B-town frenemies are back in competition! Well, not for films, but for the title of the Baadshah of Bollywood.

With Salman’s surging popularity among the masses, it’s believed that he would soon be acknowledged as the Baadshah.

His acting prowess in ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ready’ was enough to raise the bar of performance and expectations of his fans.

Unfortunately, SRK has lagged behind in this race till now due to no release since ‘My Name Is Khan’.

Salman, the highest paid actor?
Buzz has it that Salman Khan will probably be the highest paid actor in Bollywood as he has planned to charge a whooping amount of 50 crore for his upcoming projects.

After succeeding in making the cash registers ringing at the box-office, Salman Khan, who earlier used to take around 40 crore, has increased his fees for the next ventures.

Of late, two filmmakers, who roped in Salman, have confirmed the reports. In addition, he’s even proposing the names of the directors and actors to the producers of the film.

"Salman is not only quoting a fee close to Rs 50 crore, he is also 'recommending' directors for these films,” a little birdie told TOI.

“Like, for the T Series project Salman has put forward the names of two directors and has asked producer Bhushan Kumar to choose from one of them. Furthermore, he insisted on Sonakshi Sinha for Kick and now he's recommending Zarine Khan to his prospective producers.”

Will ‘Bodyguard’ be a super-hit?
Presently being the most popular thespian in the B-town, anyone associated with him will fortunately be in the limelight.

Salman’s forthcoming action-oriented film ‘Bodyguard’, directed by Siddique, is the talk of the town. The tracks of the film have received a thumbs up.

Now, whether the film will be able to set a record at the box-office, is something the critics are eagerly waiting for.

The film is scheduled to be release on Aug. 31, 2011.
