It was buzzed earlier that not Salman, but Sanjay will be the new host of the fifth season of ‘Bigg Boss’. The news equally excited and disheartened the show’s fans, as it meant a new hunk Sanjay will be anchoring the show, but there will be no more Salman in it.

However, Salman was speculated to continue his tenure on the show, as even famous astrologist Bejan Daruwala had predicted Khan’s second term on the show.

CEO of Colors, Raj Nayak said, “This year with two of Bollywoods biggest super stars, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as hosts we’re confident of making Bigg Boss even bigger & generating both - higher revenues as well as stickier eye-balls.”

The debut of Sanjay on small-screen sees a historical first double-hosting of a TV show by B-town stars. There have been stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty and Arshad Varsi in previous seasons.

Both Salman & Sanjay are all praises for each other. Talking about Sanjay, Sallu states that the viewers will enjoy a “differential appeal with the presence of Sanjay”, while the ‘Munnabhai’ star going gaga about Salman’s anchoring in season 4, expressed, “I thought he was mind-blowing with his sense-of-humor and inimitable style.”
