Reportedly, the handsome star is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Mausam’ opposite Sonam Kapoor, directed by his father Pankaj Kapoor and is quite excited about his stint with the jet.

"I was quite fortunate that I flew an F-16 fighter plane. I don't think any other actor has ever flown an F-16. Even when actor Tom Cruise had done 'Top Gun' he had flown an F15. I was very fortunate to get that opportunity," said Shahid during the launch of the first look of the movie, where he was accompanied with co-star Sonam.

He added, "Honestly I was not fond of flying in a plane but when I actually sat in it and flew it I was so excited that I started shouting. It was probably the most exhilarating experience one could have. The fact that I was sitting in an F-16 and I was a co-pilot was unbelievable.”

Shahid met air force pilots to learn about his character
Reports claimed that the actor has worked quite hard on his role of a fighter pilot and he even met some air force pilots, to gauge their style and life.

Confirming this, Shahid said, "I visited some air force bases to meet some air force pilots; I sat on the aircraft, I put on the G-suit, observed how they walk with the helmet.”

All set to make it to the screens on September 16, the movie is a love story and it describes the different emotions and situations faced by the couple.

Sonam and Shahid’s awesome chemistry
At the first look of the event, all eyes were on Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor and everyone could see the chemistry speak volumes.

Sonam looked ravishing, dressed like a Greek Goddess and Shahid was dressed casually. The actress said that during the shooting, the duo “fought and pulled each other’s legs”.

Well, ‘Mausam’ is definitely the most-awaited movie of the year.
