Touted as soft porn, ‘Murder 2’ will see Emraan Hashmi portraying a dark character in the film, after being seen in the prequel doing a role with negative shades.

The film that modestly focuses on sexuality with too much of erotic scenes has a very strong storyline that depicts today’s world and the underside of society, which deals with human trafficking and prostitution.

The makers have left no stone unturned in publicizing their film through more eroticism that could leave audiences in shock, as the characters and situations have been pushed beyond certain bounds.

The story of ‘Murder 2’ is no closer to the original film, but the characters are supposedly similar to the maiden film.

In this heightened seductive film, Emraan Hashmi plays an ex-cop who used to work for the Goa police, but later breaks the law by selling drugs to earn revenue.

While the other well leashed key characters in the film includes Prashant Narayanan, Sulagna Panigrahi, Sandeep Sikand and Shweta Kawatra.

Extensively shot in Mumbai and Goa, ‘Murder 2’ has a sizzling item number titled ‘Aa Zara’ featuring the model turned actress Yana Gupta.

The story and screenplay for this crime and suspense thriller has been penned by Mahesh Bhatt and Shagufta Rafique.

The soulful music of ‘Murder 2’ has been composed by the Harshit Saxena, Mithoon, Sangeet Haldipur and Siddharth Haldipur.

Synopsis
Arjun Bhagwat (played by Emraan), an ex-cop, does odd jobs to survive. On his search for a steady income, Emraan meets a Goan gangster, who is facing loss in his business after his hookers go missing.

Emraan gets a job from a Goan gangster, to investigate why the hookers have apparently run away.

Through his investigation he finds that the girls have gone missing because of an antagonist and sex addict Dheeraj Pandey (Prashant Narayanan).

Arjun decides to send a girl to this particular customer to get details about him and decides to send college girl and prostitute Reshma (Jacqueline Fernandez).

However, everything goes out of hand when Reshma goes missing and Arjun through his investigation bumps into Dheeraj and they land themselves in the police station.

In the police station, Arjun comes to know that Dheeraj murders women brutally and feels guilty about what would have happened to Reshma.

What follows from here is how Dheeraj gets out of jail and how things get difficult for Arjun.
