Despite threats and protests by the BJYM activitists, Ram Gopal Varma seems unmoved at all. The filmmaker is still keen on casting Maria in his next, and explained his stand by stating that the actress has all rights to begin her life once again.

Clarifying why he doesn’t wish to change his decision of signing up Maria for his imminent movie, RGV stated, "If sm1 hs bn convicted nd the person servd a gvn sentence she has a right to start her life afresh nd thts a part of civilized society.”

Apparently, Ramu is keen to make a film based on the Neeraj Grover murder case starring Maria Susairaj, who in real life has been convicted for the murder case. The film would be titled as ‘Not A Love Story’.
