Before becoming a Bollywood biggie, Aishwarya Rai's voice was rejected in an audition for voice...

Well, while Sonam’s mom flew down from London for her daughter’s birthday, veteran actor Anil Kapoor was stuck with his shooting in Edinburgh and so he could not be with the actress on the D-day.
A happy Sonam tweeted on the micro-blogging site Twitter, “Sitting with my family is the most special thing ever! Thank you @RheaKapoor @moh_m arjun, shehlu anshula and kunal.. And mom! Love u."
She also said that she would miss her dad and she remembered how he had flown all the way from USA to Scotland, to be with her on her birthday last year.
“He will call me at midnight to wish me. Every year, we celebrate with balloons and cake and go out for dinner. This year, I am shooting for Mausam and won't be able to go out for dinner. My parents haven't given me a birthday gift for the last five years,” the ‘Saawariya’ actress quipped.
Sonam awaits her sister’s surprise every year
However, the actress revealed that she waits for her sister Rhea Kapoor’s present every year, as her younger sister always thought of something special.
Scuttlebutt has it that the younger sister ordered a tempting chocolate cake on Sonam’s birthday.
Confirming this, Rhea told the Times of India, “Ordering the cake is one thing, getting her to eat it and then helping her not feel guilty about it is another."
Well, even though Sonam is a big foodie, her films have forced her to stay away from all the good food.
Wishes pour in for Sonam
And while the actress celebrated her special day with family and was busy with her work in the evening, the industry poured in their wishes for her.
Neil Nitin Mukesh posted on Sonam’s Twitter wall, “Happy birthday to you happy birthday to you dear sonam happy birthday to you.”
Designer Manish Malhotra and renowned filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also wished the actress through Twitter.
