First look of ‘Aarakshan’ unveiled

The first look of ‘Aarakshan,’ a Prakash Jha film based on the sensitive social issue reservation, was recently unveiled at Hotel Novotel in Juhu, Mumbai.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.

During its making, the film faced the wrath of many because it addresses a crucial evil that is dominant in our society but is often overlooked by the lawmakers.

While addressing the press gathered at the event, filmmaker Prakash Jha said, "With the movie I am not trying to target any one issue in our society. Reservation happens everywhere in our society and my attempt was to pick a story which is relevant enough to be told through a visual medium to a wider audience."

I always wanted to work with Prakash Jha, says Big B
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan, who was also present at the event, confessed that he always wanted to work with Jha, as he was quite impressed with the director’s work in his former films.

"I'd wanted to work with Prakash Jha since quite some time but for certain reasons, it never happened. I always watched his films and was impressed by his work. Jaya (Bachchan) would often mention that if it'd be exciting to work with him," said Big B.
