CCL will be as competitive as any other cricket tournament—Salman


The first match of the much-awaited Celebrity Cricket League kick started on June 4, in Bengaluru.


In the Celebrity Cricket League, the four principal film fraternities namely Bollywood, Kollywood, Sandalwood and Tollywood will be seen playing against each other in a manner similar to that of the Indian Premier League.

Talking about the CCL, Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor and much in-demand superstar Salman Khan stated that this film industry’s cricket tournament will be as competitive as any other cricket matches.

"I will be there to cheer for our boys. It will be as competitive as any other cricket tournament," said Salman.

Gossip mongers have suggested that Sallu will be taking off his shirt, if his team emerges as the winner.

CCL aims to raise awareness on piracy
The major purpose of this Celebrity Cricket League is to raise awareness on piracy, which has adversely hit the entertainment industry.

The four participating teams include the Telugu Warriors captained by Venkatesh, the Mumbai Heroes headed by Suniel Shetty, Chennai Rhinos led by Suriya and Karnataka Bulldozers captained by Sudeep.

The actors playing for The Telugu Warriors team includes Vishnu, Tarun, Siddarth, Srikanth, Nitin and others.

The Mumbai Heroes will see stars such as Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood, Harman Baweja, Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, Kunal Khemu, Mahesh Manjrekar and others playing for it.

Well-known actors like Madhavan, Abbas, Vishal and others will be playing for Chennai Rhinos.

The owner of Mumbai Heroes, Sohail Khan said, "The idea was to combine two popular Indian religions, Bollywood and cricket, to produce great entertainment for the Indian audience. The film fraternities from South India and Bollywood will battle against each other for the cricket cup.”

Industry bombshells will be adding charm to the event
The hotties from the Indian film industry namely Genelia D'Souza, Sonakshi Sinha, Shriya Saran, Priyamani, Charmee, Taapsee, Samantha, Andrita and Ragini will be seen entertaining the spectators.

The final match of CCL will be played in Hyderabad on June 12.
