Reports are trickling in that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are gearing up to welcome a baby in their family sometime soon.

A source from the TOI revealed, "Shilpa is expecting and the couple are extremely happy. Only the close family members and friends have been informed of the new arrival. They do not want to announce it publicly before the first trimester passes."

However, when tried to contact, both, Shilpa and Raj were unavailable for confirming the good news.

Shilpa, who in an earlier in a conversation with the tabloids had stated that she was eager to have kids, is now living her dream.

While addressing a tabloid in 2009, Shilpa had expressed, “I'm desperate to start a family. I just love children, and we've a beautiful readymade nursery (in the new house). I want at least two children.

There is already a child's bedroom here because Raj has a nephew and I can certainly see my children running around this place. And there is enough space for us to live at one end while Raj's parents live at the other."

Shilpa kicked started her Bollywod career with the Shahrukh Khan-starrer ‘Baazigar’, in which she had played a supporting actress.

After that she did a number of films, but unfortunately they all bombed at the box-office, taking Shilpa no where in her career.

It was only when Shilpa emerged a winner in the British Celebrity Big Brother TV reality show in 2007, that she hogged the limelight and re-established her career in the industry.

At the personal front, Shilpa, after experiencing a bad phase in her love life, finally fell in for the London based business tycoon Raj Kundra.

When Raj met Shilpa, he was a married man then; however, he later got divorced.

Shilpa and Raj walked down the aisle in 2009, and now the happily married couple is delighted to welcome their first child soon.
