I don't carry my on-screen character back home, says Juhi

The ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ actress Juhi Chawla is recently making news for her upcoming film ‘I AM’, which is going to hit the silver screens this Friday.

Grapevine has it that the 43-year-old actress, who has been working in the industry for over two decades and has also experienced her share of success, is a core professional at work.

In an interview with the TOI, the actress said that she is in complete tune of character that she plays while acting, but as soon as the shooting is over she leaves her character and goes home as herself.

“For acting to be effective, you have to live that moment completely to make it as real as possible. But I don't carry that back home or in between shots also as I don't want to be like that character," said Juhi.

Crossed stage of feeling insecure, says Juhi
The actress is now a business partner of the ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’ Shahrukh Khan, as she co-owns the Kolkata Knight Riders.

She has worked with Manisha Koirala in the film and both were reported to have been in very good terms on the sets.

When asked about feeling insecure while working with other female stars, the actress said, “We have crossed that stage when there were comparisons and you yourself felt a little insecure because there was this other really pretty girl vying for the same roles.”

About her role in ‘I AM’
Juhi plays a Kashmiri Pandit in ‘I AM’ and said that it was an exciting role to play.

"The part of the story I am a part of is loosely inspired by Sanjay Suri's life. It revolves around a Kashmiri Pandit girl Megha, who returns to Srinagar with her family after many years of fleeing the city because of militancy," said Juhi.

“She meets her childhood friend, who is a Muslim girl and who stayed back, and in the three days that they spend together, Megha realizes she is not the only one who has lost and suffered,” added the beautiful actress.
