Incidentally, this in turn has angered Goans that a media professional named Savio Rodrigues has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against the makers of ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ for showing the state as immoral.
It’s learnt that the court will go through the hearing of the petition tomorrow morning.

According to the reports, the petition which is filed against the movie will have the hearing by the bench on Thursday.
Incidentally, the main names of responders mentioned in the petition are the State Chief Secretary, Chairperson of Central Board of film certification, M/s Fox Star studios Pvt Ltd and Ramesh Sippy.
The supplicant has mentioned in the petition that the movie wrongfully shows Goa as a hub of illegal activities, which includes narcotics and easy sex.
“The film is scheduled to be released on April 22, 2011 and given its publicity by the producers, the film will attract criminal minded tourists and offenders and drive away decent travelers and tourists from Goa," states the petition.

Goa has been attracting tourists from all the walks of life for its beautiful locales, but now the state fears that it will lose all its business after Rohan Sippy’s movie, which has shown the state in a negative way.
Meanwhile, Savio has further stated in his petition that the media and the movie are responsible for creating a wrong hype about Goa.
“Goa has been portrayed in media and in the said movie in particular so as to depict it as destination of drugs and sex, both of which are claimed to be easily and freely available in this state," states the petition.
