Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sajid Khan, 'Housefull' gave its lead actor Akshay Kumar his biggest opening till date. Grossing ahead of ‘My name is Khan’, in its opening weekend, and collected Rs. 49.8 crore. It recorded the third-highest first week collection, after ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Ghajini’.

Now, ever since Nadiadwala announced the sequel to ‘Housefull’, speculations have been on the rise and trade analyst have already started believing that it might become one of the most anticipated films of 2011.

'Housefull 2' teaser releasing this World Cup season
Industry is abuzz with reports that the ‘Housefull 2’ is getting bigger and better. It is boasting an enormous star cast comprising of Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Asin, Rahul Khanna, Jacqueline Fernandez and Mithun Chakraborty.

Nadiadwala, who is known for his larger than life films, has already started the marketing campaign for the sequel. According to sources, the teaser for ‘Housefull 2’ might be released this ICC World Cup season.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has long-standing ties with the ICC games. Owing to such association, Nadiadwala will try release the promo of the sequel during the World Cup matches.

Starting the promotional campaign almost a year before the film release, Sajid Nadiadwala is already trying to make sure ‘Housefull 2’ an obvious blockbuster.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s next five films
Sajid Nadiadwala’s films are wholesome entertainers and this year he has his hands full with almost five films that are being lined up with top league Bollywood actors.

Apart from Sajid Khan’s ‘Housefull 2’, Nadiadwala is producing ‘Kick’ with Salman in the lead, which is being directed by Shirish Kunder. Then Vishal Bharadwaj will be directing an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s ‘2 States’ with SRK in the lead.

Imtiaz Ali might direct Hrithik in one such film which will also be produced by Nadiadwala. Even Nadiadwala is about to bring together Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for another film titled ‘Heer Ranjha’, to be directed by Sabbir Khan.

Nadiadwala said, "I cannot reveal on Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik's projects right now. We are actively working on them. However, we do have a line up of good films that we are busy with at present.”
