The upcoming film already boasts of a star cast which includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chunky Pandey, Randhir and Rishi Kapoor for the second installment, and now the makers are bringing in two more eclectic stars, Sonakshi Sinha and Amitabh for significant roles.

Sonakshi bags the lead heroine’s role for ‘Housefull 2’
It’s learnt that ‘Dabangg’ girl Sonakshi has grabbed the coveted role in the film as she would be seen as one of the lead heroines in the second installment along with Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez.

While Big B’s role has not been revealed as of now, sources have hinted that the actor will be playing a vital role in the film.

Meanwhile, buzz has it that ‘Housefull 2’ would not go on the floors in the coming months as Amitabh is currently tied up with too much work and is certainly unable to lend dates for the film at present.

The makers have revealed that shooting for ‘Housefull 2’ would only begin post July after Amitabh completes all his pending assignments.

Sonakshi in love with Ludhiana’s yellow fields
While on her way to begin shooting for Shrish Kunder’s 'Joker' in the city of Ludhiana, Sonakshi came across the lush mustard fields (sarson ke khet) in the city that she fell in love with at the first glance itself.

A source close to the film's unit revealed that the actress was in awe with the yellow fields as these breathtaking fields reminded her of her favorite film ‘Dilwale Dhulaniya Le Jaayenge.’

“Sonakshi’s stay in the city of Ludhiana was a very pleasant one. What caught her fancy were the sarson ke khet. It reminded Sonakshi of her favourite film Dilwale Dhulaniya Le Jaayenge,” stated a unit source.

It’s also heard that the actress even went ahead and told some of the unit members that she would like to run through the yellow fields just like Kajol did in DDLJ.
