Avoiding being typecast and falling into an image trap, he’s always known to take up roles that interest him. After having signed two big commercial films like Reema Kagti’s suspense thriller and Yash Raj’s ‘Dhoom 3’ for this year, Aamir has now shown an interest to do a film on AIDS, which will be directed by Priyadarshan.
It’s learnt that this untitled film, which will be most likely produced by Aamir, will not be a typical Bollywood film with a measured quantity of songs and comedy sequence, but a flick that intends to give a message for the audience on the heart-wrenching subject of AIDS.
Priyan narrated the script
After his last flick ‘Aakrosh’ did not take off at the box-office, filmmaker Priyadarshan is now all geared up for his next, a film focusing on AIDS.
After having worked with the top giants of Bollywood like SRK, Salman and Akshay, the director is now desperately looking forward to work with the industry’s genius actor Aamir.
Following a couple of meetings to discuss the project with the actor, Priyadarshan is believed to have impressed Aamir with his interesting script, and Aamir is said to have given him the nod.
Talking about Aamir doing his film, Priyadarshan stated, "I met Aamir and narrated my idea. He loved it. I now need to complete the script.”
Priyadarshan puts Ajay and Kangana’s film ‘Tezz’ on hold
Currently, the director has left his big budgeted Bollywood flick, the Ajay and Kangana starrer ‘Tezz’ in the cans for sometime, as half of the film has been shot only in Scotland and he cannot complete the film any time ahead of summer.
"About 40 percent of the film remains to be shot. I will complete it in one stretch in Scotland. But we cannot shoot it before summer when the sun comes out. I hope to complete and release Tezz by year-end,” stated the ‘Malaamal Weekly’ director.
Incidentally as of now, the filmmaker is all hyper to begin his Malayalam project with actors, Mohanlal and Vidya Balan in the leading roles and Priyan is steadfastly writing the script for the South Indian film without much delay.
“So for now I'm back in Kerala writing a Malayalam film. It a comedy with my favourite actor Mohanlal called The Arab Camel & Madhavan Nair to be shot in Abu Dhabi," informs Priyan.
