“First, I had to lose weight for my debut in Dabangg. Now I've to get into even better shape for 'Joker' and 'Race 2,” said yesteryear actor Shatrughan Sinha’s 23-year-old daughter, who apparently like many other star kids used to be quite plum.

The young actress went on to add, “For the last two years that's all I seem to be doing. Losing weight. But I am fine with that. Because it's important for me to look good.”

Before deciding to enter into the tinsel town, Sonakshi had started her career as a model and had walked the ramp at the reputed the Lakme Fashion week in 2008 and 2009.

Sonakshi ready to sizzle on-screen?
In her debut movie ‘Dabangg’, Sonakshi was seen in a role of a demure village girl, but all is set to change in her upcoming films, ‘Race 2’ and Shirish Kunder's film ‘Joker', where the actress might be seen in a sexy and glamorous avatar.

Though the young starlet is not revealing much about her upcoming projects, a source familiar with the matter revealed that the producers of ‘Race 2’ are considering to portray Sonakshi, just like Bipasha, in a hot and sexy avatar, in ‘Race'.

Besides ‘Race 2’ and ‘Joker’, Sonakshi has reportedly bagged films with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sajid Nadiadwala.

Sonakshi will not be compromising her values for films?
To what extent Sonakshi will go to see her as the reigning queen of Bollywood is yet to be known, but as per her father, who ruled 70mm screen in 70s and 80s, she would not be compromising her values to win the rat race.

"People are praising her look in Dabangg. Sonakshi will continue to do roles that are within the boundaries of self-respect. She will not compromise her values for some rat race," said the actor-turn-politician.
