I choose to be optimistic in love--Katrina


Brushing aside the unpleasant episode of IT-raid at her dwelling, the Britain based Indian actress Katrina Kaif recently made a public appearance at the launch of Pritsih Nandy’s couplet volume titled ‘Tonight, This Savage Rite' , held at Crossword, on Jan. 27.


The actress graced the event donning an exquisite white outfit and seemed to be happy go lucky while expressing her deepest emotions in front of the media personnel, who had gathered at the platform.

Spotting the sexy ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ artist at the book launch was a complete bolt from blue for the assemblers over there and everybody was desperate to know whether Kaif is a booklover or not.

Satisfying the queries, Kat said, “I haven't been an avid reader in the last few years, but when Mr. Nandy met me recently, his subject on love interested me hugely. We got into chatting about poetry. I understand the power of poetry. It's so beautiful and expressive.”

The actress candidly expressed that she was fond of romantic books, as she had faith in love and in blissful ending of love stories.

Kaif said, "Though I am not an avid reader but I like romantic books. Love is a good thing. At times in love, there are disappointments...one must not keep expectations. I like to be positive in love. I believe in happy endings."

Kat desires a poetry from Gulzar
The gorgeous Katrina who is one of the most sought after B-town beauty, ruling the hearts of millions, feels a bit upset that no one till date has dedicated any ode to her.

The actress desires the veteran lyricist Gulzar to pen down a sonnet for her.

Kaif said, "Nobody has ever written a poem for me. But if actually someone writes a poem for me, I think that will be very romantic," she said at the launch of Pritish Nandy's book of love poems "Tonight, This Savage Rite.”

"I want Gulzar saab to write poems for me," she added.

Almost after 25 years, Pritish Nandy, one of the most celebrated poets of 70s came up with his piece of literary work titled 'Tonight, This Savage Rite', last Thursday.

The endowed Nandy, who has been honored with Padma Shri and the E. M. Forster Literary Award, shares the accomplishments for the book with another renowned rhymester Kamala Das.

Nandy articulated, 'What bonded Kamala and me together was that Indian poetry in English was just about finding its voice in the 1970s and she was one of the most original and unique voices of her time.”

Besides Katrina, Gulzar, Anupam Kher, Kiran Kher, Meghna Gulzar and Chetan Bhagat were also present at the occasion.
