This is Bhandarkar’s first deliberation into the comedy genre. However, it’s learnt that this middling romantic comedy which had a lukewarm response after its release on Friday has picked up a sweet pace today and is riding high at the box-office.

‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ gets 40 percent response
According to trade analysts, ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’ has garnered 40 percent response at metropolitans since yesterday morning and later towards the evening the collection rose slightly up.

However, it’s heard that the audiences are still taking time to let the fact sink in that it’s a comedy film and it’s not his usual realistic films, but some have liked the film for its hugely entertaining factor.

Interestingly, analysts have also predicted that the film’s potential collections can rise from the weekend.

Bhandarkar’s reality based comedy
After having been stuck to gritty realism in his films, Bhandarkar has set the stage to entice audience with his latest comical outing.

Speaking about his first comedy film, Bhandarkar stated, “I’m confident of my attempt at comedy. You see, humour has been an integral part of my life. I have always tried to make the moments of life lighter. I am sure my audience will like what I have for them this time. Humour is one side of me that my audience will now get to see.”

Voicing his opinion on why audience should watch his film, the director stated that the film’s story drills on today’s world and, the situations in the film is real and funny.

“It is just like the other movies I make. It is as real as can be, it is a story based in today's world, and the humour is something that will crack up the audience. I have always promised entertainment to my audience and that is what I have done in this movie as well,” further stated the director.
