Recently, tabloids started buzzing with reports that Aishwarya and Aamir ended their six-year long cold war, few days ago at Akshay and Twinkle’s tenth wedding anniversary celebrations.
Eye-witnesses present at the party revealed that Aishwarya, after arriving at the party, wished the happy couple and was about to leave when she found out that Aamir is due to arrive along with his wife Kiran Rao.
Aishwarya, who always leaves parties within 10 minutes after arriving, decided to wait for Aamir and Kiran.
“When Aamir and Kiran arrived, Aishwarya met Aamir and spoke to him warmly. They discussed quite a few things including Kiran's film Dhobi Ghat. Both Ash and Aamir were together at the party for some time but Aamir had to leave early, so he left with Kiran,” added eye-witness.
All’s well now?
Tabloids are busy suggesting that Ash and Aamir have ended their cold war, however, neither star could be reached for a comment.
Meanwhile, as per industry insiders, if Ash and Aamir have really sorted out their differences then it’s a good thing considering that Aamir is on good terms with Bachchans and Ash is now Bachchan clan’s bahu.
“Aamir has always been on very good terms with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and would meet up with him whenever he could,” added a source.
Incident that triggered cold war
It all started back in 2005, when Aishwarya was approached by the producers of the film ‘Mangal Pandey’ for the role of a widow named ‘Jwala,’ rescued by a British officer (played by Toby Stephens) from the Sati funeral pyre.
Ash had readily agreed, however, she wanted makers to introduce changes as she found the role short and insignificant. But the makers had refused to comply with Aishwarya’s request and she had opted out.
Interestingly, as per media reports, Ash had not walked out but producers had decided to let her go as per Aamir’s suggestion.
Later on, Amisha Patel was roped in for the same role.
