John Abraham was initially offered the role of Robbie in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' (KKKG)....

However, recently ‘Mausam’ ran into controversy when Pankaj’s friend and co-star from the television show ‘Neem Ke Ped’ Nawman Malik alleged that actor-turn-director has most likely stolen his idea of the film and title too.
Apparently, Malik has lodged a formal complaint with the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers, against Pankaj.
Since not much is known about either ‘Mausam’s’ storyline or its characters, it’s tough to say to what extent claims are real.
The few details known about ‘Mausma’ are: Pankaj’s son Shahid Kapoor is portraying the role of an Airforce pilot. Sonam Kapoor will be seen in the female lead and actress Aditi Sharma is in the supporting role.
In short, everything about film is being heavily guarded. The film is expected to hit theatres sometime in July this year.
Malik’s side of story
In his complaint, Malik has alleged that he had narrated his story to Pankaj few years ago in actor’s Versova office. After four long hours, Pankaj showed interest in making a film on it.
Malik further alleged Pankaj seemed so impressed with his script that he even expressed desire to feature his star son Shahid in it. But, after some time Pankaj told Malik that his son had gone out of the country and they will resume talks when Shahid returns.
However, the meeting with Shahid never materialized and they all forgot about it until the day Pankaj announced his project, which sounded awfully a lot like his own, claimed Malik.
Pankaj maintains silence
Meanwhile, Pankaj, well-known for his performances in TV series such as 'Karamchand,' and ‘Office Office’ etc., has not yet commented on the plagiarism claims.
As per sources close to him, he first wants to attend the meeting with the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers members and only afterwards will be releasing an official statement.
Shahid is expected to attend the meeting along with his father.
