'Aap Ki Kachehri', the popular series based on the concept of Alternate Dispute Redresssal, is going to begin its third season in the first quarter of 2011.
Hosted by Kiran Bedi, the first Indian female IPS, 'Aap Ki Kachehri' has been a huge success for Star India. So, before they embark with season 3, they have planned to launch a nationwide campaign to increase the awareness among the masses.
The show's success essentially relates to the essential status of Kiran Bedi, who is already a role model for the nation.
The snail's pace at which the Indian judiciary handles the large volumes of cases and petitions pending, makes it imperative for the judiciary to emulate some of the basic features of this show to redress such issues.
Promotional campaigns of 'Aap Ki Kachehri'
While full-fledged publicity campaigns are on, the first phase of the nationwide campaign would begin with an inaugural event in Delhi on Dec. 17, this year, followed by Indore and Mumbai.
The Delhi inaugural event will be attended by eminent dignitaries including Dr. Girija Vyas, chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW).
The Iron Lady
Kiran Bedi, post-retirement, has launched two web sites namely saferindia.com and indiapolice.in, which pursues the essentially ideological aspirations of the Iron Lady.
'Aap ki Kachehri - Aap ke Dwaar' mediation camps are also being planned, which will work as platforms for dissemination of information and knowledge on issues pertaining to dispute redressal and individual conflicts.
The top-cop, who also is the founder of a couple of NGO's, responding to a query on season 3 said,"I am extremely honored that Star Plus and my team have touched so many lives and we are now moving towards this unique initiative.
"The idea of going to various cities across the country is indeed very noble as it would help us connect with people on a personal level. I look forward to the camp in Delhi and hope we continue the great work in harmony of truth & peace."
