Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan refused to have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London in 2007...

When contacted, Irrfan, best known for his intense performances and peculiar humor on-screen, confirmed his presence in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ movie, expected to release sometime in 2012.
“Spider-Man is one of the biggest Hollywood franchises, with a large budget and a huge studio backing. To be cast in it is a dream,” said Irrfan.
When the 48-year-old actor was asked to reveal little bit about his character or plot of the movie, Irrfan slyly replied, “I still have to read the script. All I know is that I am playing a villain in the film.”
Irrfan is in the industry since 1987, but gathered much appreciation and recognition for his performance in 2003 for ‘Maqbool'.
Afterwards, he went on to appear in various Bollywood masala films, sometimes as a leading man or in supporting role or as a villain and in each role managed to get attention.
Each installment differs
Irrfan started his Hollywood journey with Michael Winterbottom’s ‘A Mighty Heart’ in 2007 and have films like ‘Namesake,’ ‘The Darjeeling Limited,’ ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ ‘New York,’ ‘I Love You’ and ‘Hisss’ to his credit.
When asked, what he finds different about Hollywood sequels, Irrfan said, “They keep throwing in new challenges, new angles and trying to better the earlier movie. They make characters exploitable and yet maintain the credibility.”
Irrfan’s Hollywood career, just like that of Anil Kapoor, seems to be going great as the actor presently is busy working on the third season of HBO series “In Treatment".
The series is about a widower, whose wife is dead and he’s haunted by loneliness after moving to US.
Irrfan on new Spiderman
Besides Irrfan, Hollywood actor Rhys Ifans will be seen in a villainous role in ‘Spider-Man Reboot'. Interestingly, in the new installment Tobey Maguire, hero of last three films, will not be seen as Peter Parker/Spiderman.
The honor to play Spiderman, aka Peter Parker, in the fourth installment has gone to Andrew Garcia (Social Networking).
As per Irrfan, Andrew is a fine choice for the role as he “has a very interesting face and I like him as an actor.”
