My marriage with Ali was not TRP gimmick--Sara Khan


In a recent interview with IANS, eliminated contestant Sara Khan rubbished the rumors that her marriage to Ali was TRP gimmick by the 'Bigg Boss' makers.


Sara even debunked speculations claiming that the duo was married two years ago, and were given Rs 50 lakh by the makers for the marriage act in the house.

“Bigg Boss’ is a huge show. The TRPs are already very high and it does not need such gimmicks to boost the ratings. It’s just crap if people feel my marriage was for ratings. I have been there, and I can assure that nothing is scripted on the show,” said the 21-year-old actress.

Despite the controversies, Sara is elated to come out of the house as a married woman. She hopes to spend some quality time with her husband as it's been a month since the duo got married.

Besides, Ali's birthday on Dec. 13. So, she is looking forward to party hard with her hubby.

Sara miffed with her parents
The 21-year-old 'Bidaai' actress is presently miffed with her parents as she has been made ware of the fuss her parents had made during her marriage with Ali in 'Bigg Boss'.

Sara's parents had publicly revealed that the duo married each other 2 years ago.

“I am still getting over the fact that I am a married girl now. It does make me feel nice and happy, but as I am getting to know about the controversy over my wedding, I wonder what happened and why. It is very upsetting,” commented Sara.

The actress denied to comments on the matter further, saying that she first needs to talk to her parents on this matter.

“I have just reached Mumbai after being in Lonavala at the ‘Bigg Boss’ house for two months. I need time to settle back. Only once I meet my parents and watch all the footage, can I comment about whatever happened,” added Sara.

Evidently, Sara and Ali knew each other from three years.

Interestingly, Sara Khan, who spent more than two months in the house, was quite irked as every one had misinterpreted her relationship with in-house contestant Ashmit Patel.

She cleared all the rumors about her relationship with Ashmit, and called him as her elder brother.

Sara said, “Ashmit is like an elder brother to me and he used to treat me like his sister. I was the youngest contestant on the show…so he really loved me and pampered me.

“I don’t think just because two people are close, they are dating each other.”

At the end of her more than two months stay in 'Bigg Boss', the thespian acknowledged that she had a wonderful time in the house, especially her marriage with Ali Merchant.

Revealing about her journey, Sara shared, “I feel it was very kind of ‘Bigg Boss’ to bring in Ali on the show. In three years, my name was never connected with anyone except Ali, and I am glad I have been able to come out with a clean image.”

Presently, Sara is waiting for her parents consent for officially shifting to her hubby's abode.
